Welcome to the American Branding Association's BrandVentions™ Award submission page.
This competition is open to all newly branded or
rebranded U.S. based commercial entities.
The ABA uses the following criteria in arriving at the one brand it feels deserves the award within the USA for any given year. If you feel your brand nomination is the best
American brand of the year and meets all the criteria as outlined below, we encourage you to submit using the following guidelines:
ENTRANCE RULES
1. Candidate must be headquartered within the United States of America.
2. Candidate must have been in business for at least 3 years.
3. Candidate must be globally or nationally recognized within their given market(s).
4. Candidate must be able to provide a strategy conveying market longevity.
5. Candidate must practice reasonably Humane, ethical and accountable business practices. Including safe and respectful treatment of all employees, staff, partners, and the general public;
Further entailing environmentally sound practices if/where applicable.
6. Candidate must not have associated, aligned or partnered themselves with other firms, individuals or institutions of questionable integrity and/or activity.
7. Candidate must have a proven record for the year submitted in producing uniquely branded solutions across all channels. These channels shall include: aesthetic,
messaging, internal and external communications.
Specifically if/where applicable: build and identity design, slogan, tagline, digital (UX, UI, web, mobile, video, film, interactive/multi-media) and broadcast media, PR,
packaging, copywriting, advertising, interior architecture (retail/space design), scent design, sound design, display and merchandising design, and/or etc.
8. Candidate MUST include any and all agencies and/or person(s) involved in the branding process of their firm for which they hope to receive merit.
Any candidate found to have plagiarized or otherwise executed unethical use of branding related materials shall be dismissed and banned from competing in any future events.
JUDGING CRITERIA
Combined scores for the following categories provide each candidate their final tally:
1.) Cultural Relevancy & Context.
2.) Aesthetics, Communication & Usability. 3.) Strategic Efficacy. 4.) Brand Equity & Performance.
MATERIALS REQUIREMENTS
1. Brand strategy outlines and/or associated text-only documents, PowerPoint URL and/or other materials which depict the strategy that was used in the branding process(s). DO NOT send actual materials. Please upload onto your server and provide link(s) to documents.
2. Aesthetic & Communication. Visual collateral (logo/logotype, tagline, slogan, packaging, product design(s), symbolism or other visuals that represent the core foundation of the marque). If submitting advertising materials, we require (800px w x 800px h maximum non-manipulated digital jpeg/png images of ad campaigns, media, tv, billboard or transit materials). DO NOT SEND actual materials as they will be returned to you via terms of postal refusal.
3. If you want to be considered for entry into the ABA BrandVentions™ competition, submit only materials from that ONE best brand identity/design/strategy work. If you are a researcher/strategist and can't submit work because of an ongoing NDA or pre-launch security consideration, you must wait until the next grading year to submit that work for consideration. All submissions must be received no later than November 15 in the entry year.
SUBMISSION & FEE
Candidates must not be current or previous clients, or family members of any of our judging panel. To counter this, Candidates must provide all professionals’s names involved in development of the brand/rebrand.
Candidates have 5 days to submit all materials they deem as being most representative of their brand. Payment is due prior to submission of any materials. These dates will be posted on our website by the middle of the judging year.
Be advised that submission to the ABA BrandVentions™ competition does not guarantee a win. Winning is based entirely at the judges' discretion using the nominated brand’s materials as they are submitted.

*/**Fee covers judges’ time and expenses, any physical award, and entry to final award ceremony dinner. Winner is responsible for any and all destination fees including but not limited to airfare, lodging, food,
transfers and/or other accommodations. If your brand is chosen as this year's winner, and for any reason you cannot or choose not to be present at the ceremony, the award will be mailed to your firm. For this option, all candidates must provide the company's physical address and specify which department to use for verification.
